The passé composé is used for actions completed in the past.

​The passé composé may be translated into English in three different ways depending on the context.

Ziggy a mangé toute la viande.

1) Ziggy ate all the meat!
2) Ziggy  has eaten all the meat!
3) Ziggy did eat all the meat!

Formation: pronoun + verb avoir + past participle 
                         Nous           avons              mangé.
