We have been going on weekly walking field trip. We have been learning about snowflakes, measuring snow precipitation, singing French songs, playing disc golf in Bayshore etc. But today, students had a chance to be super creative!
Here is what I did:
As we walked to Bayshores Park – students played a French game of Charades to review conjugating verbs. At the park, I asked student to create snow sculptures and create an interesting story in French about their sculptures. It was so much fun! Students did bring some plastic tools (plastic spoon, knife, spatulas) and we watched the following video to get them excited: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdbWbe6Cp2k They only had 15 minutes to make their snow sculptures and later as a class we visited each sculpture and listened to their creative stories.
Thanks to all the parents and doggies that joined us!
